In civil engineering, sheet plan views are usually twisted to read along an alignment. Mike Partenheimer has developed this ViewTwist AutoCAD routine to simplify this very common action.
Pick two points to establish your view orientation. The first becomes the left horizon, the second becomes the right horizon, and then you are prompted to reset the crosshairs to zero rotation relative to the current new view. This routine works in Model Space or in a viewport in a layout. After you load the LISP file, run the command VTwist to get started. See also Cadalyst CAD Tip #3108. |
