Add the section view title with the band label in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

When working with AutoCAD Civil 3D, you can add a section view title with the band label. In this manner section views in sheet layout spacing can be controlled. But remember you have to remove the title (turn off Top Axis title layer) of the section view style window.

Remove the title from the section view style you want to use here:

This controls the spacing of the sections in the sheet layout. Edit the band style by clicking the small icon.

Click on Title text box's Compose label button and add the text component. Now change the contents by editing the text component editor and adding “CH: < [Sample Line Name (CP)]>” like the following example. Then click OK.

Add one label set and rename as TITLE-CH as following figure:

You can easily control the position of the title label using X-offset and Y-offset values.

Notes from Cadalyst tip reviewer R.K. McSwain: As with many things in AutoCAD and its vertical applications, there are multiple ways to achieve an end result. In this case we are shown how to add a Section Title using the band labels. This particular tip goes several dialog boxes deep inside Civil 3D objects and styles, so you have to pay close attention, but the process is outlined well by Buddhika and we were able to follow it to completion. Thanks!
