Raymond Gomez sends us a tip on reducing the file sizes of drawings that comprise 3D objects.
"When you create 3D solids, a record of the history of their original form stays with the model. The Brep command erases that history, and the file size shrinks greatly." Notes from Cadalyst Tip Patrol: When you use the Brep command, the history of the selected solid or solids is removed. That means the original objects cannot be selected, nor can they be modified. If you use Brep on a solid, it is no longer a true primitive and it cannot be manipulated with grips or through the Properties palette. |
