This efficiency tips helps keep notes consistent within a set.

David Couch shares a tip he uses with sheet sets to keep notes consistent within a set.

"I use the Custom Properties of the sheet sets for construction notes. I create item labels Note 01, Note02, (I use 01 and 02, etc. so that the notes will sort properly in the list) etc. within the Sheet Set Custom Properties. I then create a table for all of the construction notes that will be on sheet 1 or 2 (or whatever sheet has all of the notes) with each of the rows having a field that shows the specific note number. Then on each sheet I add a smaller table that lists only the construction notes used on that sheet. Again, I add the fields for the notes into the table. This way, if I have to change the wording on a note, such as the specific standard to be used, I change it once in the Sheet Set and it is updated on all sheets."

Notes from Cadalyst Tip Patrol: This is a great efficiency tip. It makes revisions easier to do and helps to make certain that all construction documents are the same. You can use it for more than just notes. Designers can add data, values, or any type of information that needs to be used throughout a project. Doing this helps to ensure that values are the same throughout a set.
