Tipster Gizelle Santa Catalina describes how to use sheet sets to publish PDF files to the same folder for each project.
“We normally have one folder per project where we put all PDF files that we issue. I find it helpful to use the sheet set manager, default output location to set a path to that folder so that every time I save to PDF I don’t have to browse as much.
“Right-click on sheet set > publish > sheet set publish options > default output location (plot to file) > on the location box, browse for the folder where you usually keep all issued drawings.
“Not sure if it’s original, but I hope it helps others save a few clicks!”
Notes from Cadalyst tip reviewer Brian Benton: This tip will save you some clicks and some heartache as well. This is a great way to help organize your PDF files when you create them with AutoCAD. Sheet sets will help you manage your files with all sorts of tricks like this one. I know that I have plotted to PDF only to wonder where the PDF went. This tip helps prevent that by setting a location for the PDFs to go when created.
