Frequent tipster Leonid Nemirovsky shares a quick tip about rendering 3D objects in AutoCAD.
"To make a rendering in AutoCAD look better — and to create it a bit faster — first move your model as close as possible to the coordinates 0,0,0. At this point it will also look better in Realistic mode."
Notes from Cadalyst Tip Patrol: This may seem like a very simple tip, but it is an important one. Many users haven't even considered this issue: When AutoCAD renders a 3D model, it has no idea what needs rendering, so it renders everything. It starts at the beginning (0,0,0) and works its way through all of the objects in your file. The closer the beginning is to the end, the shorter the journey.
