Ed Hall sends us a tip on editing revision clouds. "I often need to add more items to a revision cloud than originally planned. Instead of making a new revision cloud to encompass all the items, I will draw a second revision cloud so that it overlaps the first one. ![](/sites/default/files/temp/Picture%20clipping.pictClipping) ![](/sites/default/files/temp/Picture%20clipping.jpeg)
Then I use the Trim command to clean it up. ![](/sites/default/files/temp/cloud%202.jpg) ![](/sites/default/files/temp/Picture%20clipping_0.pictClipping) If I want it to be continuous, I use Edit Polyline to join the two." Notes from Cadalyst Tip Patrol: The Revision Cloud command creates a series of arcs that are polylines. You could do this manually, but it will take longer and the resulting line work will be more difficult to edit later. The revision cloud is nothing more than a polyline, so you can change its width, linetype, etc. in the same way as you would a polyline. |
