Here is a way to restore the look of selected objects in AutoCAD 2015.

A feature some might miss about AutoCAD 2014 is the way AutoCAD displays selected objects. AutoCAD 2015 will display selected objects as a highlighted entity. AutoCAD 2014 and earlier versions show objects dashed when selected.

If you are not a fan of the new way of displaying this, you can change Selectioneffect to 0 and your selection display woes are over.

Notes from Cadalyst tip reviewer R.K. McSwain: Existing AutoCAD users frequently want to restore features and/or looks of earlier versions. This is a good tip for how to restore the look of selected objects, which by default is changed in the 2015 version.
