This routine from Raymond Rizkallah allows you to drive the Windows Command line tool FINDSTR, to search for AutoCAD files that contain a certain string. The Windows Command line tool has always seemed to work better than the Windows Explorer GUI for text searches, and now you can do it without having to know the complex command switches. Start by loading the LISP file, then type in the command FINDSTR. The prompts are self-explanatory, and you have the option of searching sub-directories as well. |
