Have you ever created an item in Autodesk Vault and not liked to default item number assigned by the software? This tip will show you how to change an item number from the default assigned by the software.

• While in Item Master, choose File and select New.

• Under Actions click Change Item Number.

• While in the Change Item Number dialog box, change the Mapped area to the new desired Item number.

• If you have already created the item and want to change it, find the item, right-click, and select Change Item Number.
