Custom pulldowns are a good way to get all of your users working on the same page.

Interior designer Denise Couture Cowell tells us how she streamlined and standardized her company's AutoCAD user interface.

"In order to expedite sheet setups, I've created a custom pulldown menu of each title block size, along with a separate attributed block so that the title block is xrefed and the info block is placed in paper space. I've also added menu blocks to the custom pulldown that can insert commonly used notes, a detail grid, schedules, or other repetitive objects into each xrefed title block. Our users really like the convenience, and I like the standardization."

Notes from Cadalyst Tip Patrol: Custom pulldowns are a good way to get all of your users working on the same page. If you are using the Ribbon in AutoCAD 2009 and 2010 without the menu bar then you can customize panels, toolbars, or tool palettes.
