Hayden Clarke, an engineering technician, shares an AutoCAD tip about using the XList command to glean information about referenced objects.
"I recently came across the XList command, which allows you to 'list' objects within an xref or block, saving you from switching between drawings, or editing in place to query certain line elevations, linetypescales, layers, etc. This tool is similar to NCopy and can be very useful for those of you, like me, who use xrefs daily."
Notes from Cadalyst Tip Patrol: The XList command is a must-have tool when working with xrefs (and blocks). It works just like the List command: start the command, then pick the object. |
