Calculate the rise, run, and percent slope.

This routine from Tommy Shumpert allows you to calculate percent slope between two points in a drawing without requiring Civil 3D, AutoCAD Map, or any other add-ons. After you load the LISP file, type in the command SLOPE. Start by picking two points, then enter elevations for each point, and the result will be returned in the text window. The result will include the rise, run, and percent slope.

Thanks a lot for posting this LISP routine. It's very helpful. I was wondering, would it be very hard to modify it slightly and allow the user to pick two points on a polyline and calculate the slope taking for the run the distance between the 2 points **along the polyline** , as opposed to the linear distance between them? Unfortunately I am not well versed in LISP, so I wouldn't know where to start to make the changes. Thanks for any help you might be able to provide! Helio
