Tipster Ramakrishna Acharya shares a tip to help you draw lines at specific angles in AutoCAD.

"You can use this shortcut value in the Line command to draw a line with a specified angle and length. This is very handy, and saves a bit of time.

"When the Line command asks you to specify the first point, pick a first point (start point) on the screen. Next, it will ask you to 'Specify next point or [Undo]'; simply type <45 and press Enter. This will override the angle specified by you to 45 degrees (you can choose any angle to override). Then you can specify the length of the line required, or you can move the cursor and pick with the mouse button."

Notes from Cadalyst Tip Reviewer Brian Benton: This is very useful when you want to draw at a specific angle. If you are using Dynamic Input, press the Tab key to toggle to the angle box, where you can enter the angle. Tab again to get back to the Distance Input box and type in your distance. You can also pick your second point, and it will draw the line at your point and at the desired angle.
