Frequent tipster Danny Korem shares a tip that will help you insert page setups from a template into multiple AutoCAD files in a few steps.
"This might amaze some users, but while using DWGConvert from within an AutoCAD session — or while using Convert from within the free DWG TrueView (it's not just a viewer!) — you can select a bunch of files and opt for the Replace Page Setups option. If it's selected, one is able to externally add standard page setups to a bunch of selected drawing files. When files are later opened, you'll be able to double-click on the inserted page setups while in a layout to correlate layouts to standard page setups. This will make publishing drawings possible, and if sheet sets are available, you’ll have your entire project tidy and clean."
Notes from Cadalyst Tip Reviewer Brian Benton: This is a great workaround. Typically you either create a new file from your template, which has already been set up with page setups, or you insert them one file at a time. This tip can help you insert the page setups from a template file into more than one file at a time. |
