Tipster Dean Culver expands on Cadalyst CAD Tip No. 3743, "Save Screen Captures," where the SaveImg command is used to save the AutoCAD screen as an image file.
"One issue with the SaveImg command is that it won’t show objects in floating model space when in paper space, or vice versa. To show items in viewport and paper space, try one of these commands: JPGOut, BMPOut, TIFOut, or PNGOut. Start the command and follow the instructions on the screen.
"When prompted to select objects, simply press Enter to select all objects and viewports, or you can opt to select only certain items. If you choose the latter, however, you lose the option of saving the viewport objects again."
Notes from Cadalyst Tip Patrol: There are four image-out commands; the name of each correlates to the file type the image will be saved as. For example, JPGOut will save the image as a JPG file. If you press Enter (as the tipster recommends) to show everything, you can quickly share your screen view with others. Zoom in (or out) to what you want to share; the command will capture what is visible in your display. |
