Use this tip to quickly place a text object at the center of a box or circle.

Gopal Ramesh shared a routine that will help you move text to the center of an object.

"This command is for quickly placing a text object exactly at the center of a box or a circle, irrespective of text's insertion point."

NOTES FROM CADALYST TIP PATROL: This routine makes centering text in an object very quick and easy. Start the command, pick the text object, then tell the routine to center it within a circle or a window (box). It defaults to a window. If you type in W as an option, the routine for some reason thinks you mean circle! If you type in a C, it still thinks you want a circle. If you want to center it on a window, just press Enter -- it works fine that way.
