This command is useful for aligning a set of text entities, horizontally or vertically, in line with a reference text.

Gopal Ramesh also sent us a routine that will align text objects with one another.

"This command is useful for aligning a set of text entities, horizontally or vertically, in line with a reference text. It aligns the insertion points of all the selected text in line with the insertion point of reference text. This is especially useful in a table of text, such as a bill of materials."

Notes from Cadalyst Tip Patrol: To run the command (after loading it, of course) type Talign on the Command line. Pick the text objects you want to align and press Enter. Then pick the text object you want to align them to. This routine doesn’t rotate the text, it just moves the objects so they line up with the reference text.
