Orient dimension text for easy reading.

CAD Manager Tina Stimpson shares a workaround for an AutoCAD dimension text rotation problem.

"To get text to go from this:

to this:

Change text rotation to 359d59'59" (if you use 360, it flips back to the top rotation)."

Notes from Cadalyst tip reviewer Brian Benton: This is such an annoying phenomenon. All you have to do is rotate it 359.9999999999 degrees! This happens because AutoCAD interprets 0 and 360 degrees the same way. Fortunately, it's an easy enough fix. Also keep in mind that if you want all of your dimension text to be oriented horizontally, there is a setting for that in the Dimension Style Manager; use this trick for one-off times instead.

Another way that's precise: DIMOVERRIDE, give it DIMTIH or DIMTOH [Text Inside Horizontal or Text Outside Horizontal] as the variable to override, and a value of On, and select the Dimension(s) to apply it to.

".01" also works, and you only have to type 1 number in the properties dialog box.
