Add a prefix to every block in your drawing.

This tip from Dennis Jehan will let you add a prefix to every block in your current AutoCAD drawing. As Dennis explains, this tip solves problems when a large drawing is being inserted into another drawing that has blocks with the same name. Start by loading the LISP file, then type in the command MBR. Enter a prefix, and the routine will loop through all of the blocks to add the prefix to each one.

It adds a prefix to some blocks but not all of them. This message comes up. Invalid block name. ; error: Function cancelled Is there something i am doing wrong?

The program will ignore blocks with a * in front of the name. Let me have the name of the block that it stops on. Thanks Dennis (dennisjehan@netscape.net)
