This block combines alignment, rotation, width, and number of stairs.

Shimi Dahan, a landscape architect, submitted this dynamic block for the creation of stairs in AutoCAD. This block combines alignment (e.g., to walls), rotation, width, and number of stairs (three is the minimum). You might want to change the layers and or colors to match your CAD standards.

Notes from Cadalyst tip reviewer R.K. McSwain: This is a useful dynamic block to represent stairs. You have the option of developing the block further to include more options, but even the basic version can save you a lot of time.

Doug, I had just tested the download-able block and it works. You can test it by opening it directly from the zip file in 'block editor' mode. It works when inserted into another drawing, just like a normal block. Good luck, Shimi.
