This routine from Theresa M. Lowe allows you to add a note to the bottom of any dimension. Start by loading the LISP file, then type in the command NDIM and pick a dimension to change. The default note to add is the string VIF (Verify in Field), but you can override this with any note you want to add. The routine remembers the last note used within the same drawing session. Dimension value overrides are also preserved.
