Use familiar copy and paste functions to easily replicate tables and their data.

Leonid Nemirovsky shares a quick tip to create sections of tables in AutoCAD using the Windows copy and paste functions.

"If you highlight any part of your table you can copy/paste (the way you usually do it; personally I use Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V) in any part of your current drawing or in any spot on any open drawing files. I use it often to start new tables quickly. I even create a special drawing where I place the most common types of tables, and copy/paste either the whole table or just the part I need to my current drawing."

Notes from Brian Benton, Cadalyst tip reviewer: This is a very simple tip, but it can save you a great deal of time. If you have a table but only need part of it, select the part you want, press Ctrl+C to copy the content, then press Ctrl+V to paste that content anywhere in your file. This will paste a table with the cells filled out exactly as they were in the source table.
