Frequent tipster Leonid Nemirovsky shares with us a tip about using the multi-line text editor with attributes in AutoCAD blocks.
"In order to have the full multi-line text editor for creating and adding multi-line attributes, be sure to set the ATTIPE system variable to 1. Now you can use fractions, subscripts, and superscripts in multi-line attributes."
Notes from Cadalyst Tip Patrol: Most block attributes are single-line text, but that isn't always the case. The AutoCAD system variable ATTIPE controls the multi-line text editor toolbars when working with multi-line text attributes. Out of the box, ATTIPE is set to zero; this setting will display an extremely minimalized toolbar. Setting ATTIPE to 1 displays the full multi-line text editor toolbar. ATTIPE only affects attributed text, not standard text objects. |
