Frequent contributor Leonid Nemirovsky submits a LISP routine, along with a unique block. This block includes fields that update based on the location of the block itself. The LISP code assists you in inserting the block, and it is automatically scaled based on the current dimscale value. Make sure the block and the LISP file are both in your support file search path, then load the LISP file and type in MON at the Command prompt. If you need to accurately show the x,y location of a point in your drawing, there is nothing better than using fields, as Leonid has done here. There are two other attributes in the block for an ID and note, and you can easily modify the block geometry itself if needed. |
