Reset a skewed ViewCube.

Todd Rogers sends us a tip on how to reset the ViewCube in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

"Using a previous version of a template file (e.g., a 2011 template file opened in 2012) causes the ViewCube to become skewed a bit. To reset this, type in GeographicLocation. In the dialog box that appears, select Remove the Geographic Location, then click Yes to continue. Your ViewCube is now reset."

Notes from Cadalyst Tip Reviewer Brian Benton: I’m not sure why this is happening to the tipster, but this technique seems to have solved the issue for them. The GeographicLocation command controls the settings that tell AutoCAD where in the world your file is located. It is used for sun location and effects in rendering and in coordinate systems.

This too happened to me upgrading my 2012 dwt files instead of revising the 2013 dwt files to the 2012 dwt specs. For me this was an extremely useful tip because I could not figure out for myself why the ViewCube had changed its orientation.
