Frequent tip contributor Leonid Nemirovsky, sent us this simple, but effective tip. Here is an AutoCAD tip, it is small but somewhat useful I think. Highlight object with grips, hold RIGHT mouse button and drag it to a new location – release button, then a small pop-up menu shows up at the cursor location with some interesting options. NOTES FROM CADALYST TIP PATROL: Great tip as usual Leonid. Select an object or objects. This will activate grips. Right click the object and hold. As the tip says drag it to a new location and let go of the button. A menu pops up providing us with four choices. MOVE HERE will move the selected objects to that point. COPY HERE will make a copy of the selected objects to that point. PASTE AS A BLOCK will copy the selected objects to that point and make them a block. CANCEL will cancel the command. This is a great time saving tip and one of many right-click hidden gems. |
