This tip gives you more control when grip editing the revision cloud made from a polygon in AutoCAD 2016.

This tip is to give you more control when grip editing the revision cloud made from a polygon in AutoCAD 2016.  With the revision cloud in place, start the RevCloud command and use the Object option, and then pick the revision cloud.

This will do two things:

  1. It will make the cloud look more random.
  2. It will give you grips at every bulge.

The grips will allow you to drag the cloud shape around while keeping the maximum arc size the same.  Unlike the old revision cloud, dragging a grip will cause more bulges to be created, rather than just making one bigger and bigger.

Notes from Cadalyst tip reviewer R.K. McSwain: This is a nice little trick that gives you better editing tools for revision clouds created in AutoCAD 2016.
