Chief Draftsman Wade D. Spruill shows us a command that can execute four other AutoCAD commands on an object.
"There is a 'hidden' command in AutoCAD that a lot of users, young and old alike, do not know about. The MoCoRo command lets you Move, Copy, and Rotate — plus scale — all in one command, without having to leave the command. It's quite handy." Notes from Cadalyst Tip Patrol: While creating your drawings, you will often need to move, copy, rotate, and scale an object or object set. All four of these commands are available separately, but there is one command that can perform all these functions: the Express Tool command MoCoRo. (Here's a question: Do you think the Scale command is jealous that it was left out of the command name?) MoCoRo lets you pick your object and edit it without having to start a new command and reselect your objects.
Go to the Express Tool Panel in the ribbon > Modify tab > MoCoRo, or type MoCoRo on the Command line. Select your objects and press Enter. This will bring up your options: copy, move, rotate, scale, base, undo, and exit. Exit ends the command, base allows you to repack your base point, and the rest are obvious. It can be a time-saver. |
