Attention Harry fans: Please note that the next batch of useful LISP tips will come in January. Even Hot Tip Harry needs a holiday!
For November, Harry's picks include the following:
E-mail a Selection Set — Alan J. Thompson — Alan's latest routine allows you to quickly and easily e-mail a portion of your AutoCAD drawing. It couldn't be much easier. Copy Attributes and More — Robert L. Zipprich — This comprehensive routine comprises many AutoCAD functions related to copying text and attributes. Fortunately, the author has provided a detailed readme file that contains all the information you need about each of the included functions.
Improved Layer Isolate/Unisolate — Kent Cooper — This LISP routine from Kent Cooper improves on AutoCAD's built-in Layer Isolate and Layer Unisolate commands. It also reports what it is doing at the Command line.
Draw Window Trim — Jay L. Thomas — A unique routine that draws trim around windows in AutoCAD. Jay has also included a drawing file containing windows for easy sampling of this routine.
Create Polyline Steel Decking — Jay L. Thomas — Jay's second routine this month allows you to draw various types of 2D sheet-metal decking in the form of a polyline. If you are working in 3D, the resulting polyline can easily be extruded or swept along a path. |
