This simple tip can improve your presentation.

Tipster Todd Rogers shares a simple way to get Autodesk Infrastructure Modeler to show more details in your buildings.

"Would you like to show more detail on buildings in Autodesk Infrastructure Modeler 2013? Click on the Application menu, the large I in the upper left corner, and select Options. In the left pane, select 3D Generation. To the right, change the building complexity to High. Changes will not take effect until you regenerate your model. Click on the Manage tab of the ribbon, then select Generate Model. Your buildings will now have more depth and detail to them."

Notes from Cadalyst Tip Reviewer Brian Benton: More detail is better, especially when making your final presentation or when leading a demonstration with clients. This is a simple tip, but one that can make a difference in your presentation. It can also make a difference in your workstation's performance. The more detail in your models, the more the computer has to work. If you increase the detail and everything slows down too much, just reduce the detail by degrees until you find the right balance of detail and performance.
