Cad/IT Manager Chris Wade sends us a short LISP routine he uses to purge AutoCAD drawings on a regular basis. This is actually a subset of a more detailed routine Chris submitted for cleanup of architectural drawings (see Cadalyst CAD Tip No. 3368), and between the two you should be able to use one as is or choose the purge components you need to build your own custom purge command. After you load the LISP file, run the command UPU. This routine sets layer 0 to current, purges all unreferenced items including “regapps,” and then resets the original layer to current, if it still exists. |
