Draw a projected circle as an ellipse.

Although AutoCAD has offered full 3D modeling capabilities for some time, users still draw and sketch things in 2D also. This routine from Ramakrishna Acharya will project circles in one view as an ellipse in another view. Start by loading the LISP file, then type in the command IEL. Referring to the image below, pick both "ends" of the circle in plan view and pick the centerline of the rotated view to construct the ellipse. Current properties, such as layer and color, are used when making the new ellipse.
