This Inventor tip shows how to get your isometric view to show interference edges and tangent edges.

Have you ever created an isometric view in Inventor and were disappointed to find that the view did not show interference edges or tangent edges? Here’s a tip that shows you a couple settings to get the desired result.

In the view below, I would like to show where the flanged pipe connects to the header.

Right-click the view and select Edit View.

Switch to the display tab in the drawing view dialog box.

Check Interference Edges & Tangent Edges and click OK.

Notice how the pipe now looks like it interferes with the header, and tangent edges are shown in the view.
