Qselect allows you to narrow down your selection by property value.

Julia Noble sent us a tip on selecting objects with the Qselect filter. "I was learning a new ribbon menu in AutoCAD 2009 and found out that this program has a very powerful QSelect command. It can be found under Home – Utilities – Qselect."

NOTES FROM CADALYST TIP PATROL: Qselect allows you to narrow down your selection by property value. For example, you need to select all lines that are the color BLUE but there are so many that are intertwined with other objects, picking them is difficult, and the objects are on multiple layers so you can’t isolate the layer. Start Qselect, select your objects, and then manipulate the filters until you get what you want -- very powerful. You can also get to the command by clicking the Qselect icon on the properties manager.
